Our Swift box has both a front facing and Rutland (under) entrance against the back wall. We believe that Swifts naturally investigate under boxes first looking for the darkest spot so the under entrance is more easily found. Once in the box the Swifts can then choose which entrance to use and the chicks can easily fledge from either entrance.
Our boxes have a UPVC roof and structural exterior grade ply walls and base also treated with a waterproofer for extra longevity.
Large inspection door on the front to make camera access and cleaning (although not necessary) easy.
